Have you ever had to figure out on one of your projects: Who did What to Whom, When, Where, How, and Why?  While it may not actually be a “criminal act” that you may have investigated, some of the things that can happen on projects may have risen to the level of outrageous and despicable harm to one or more of the parties involved.  There are a number of contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, owners and others that have “died a painful death – (gone into bankruptcy)” without ever knowing what really happened to them.

Whether you knew it or not, if you have ever performed such a “Crime” Scene Investigation, you most likely performed some form of Forensic Estimating, Forensic Scheduling, Forensic Cost Analysis, and/or Forensic Contract Analysis Procedures.

Mr. Pratt has been performing such CSI-type services for over thirty years for his clients.  He joined the Denver Chapter of ASPE in 1973, was Chapter President in 1979 and again in 1989.  He served on the ASPE National Board of Trustees from 1980 to 1985, and served as National President from 1982 to 1984.  He has been engaged in over 500 cases since 1982, and has testified as an expert witness in over 130 of those cases.  He is currently ASPE’s representative to the Coalition of Endorsing Organizations issuing and updating the standard form contracts that are published by ConsensusDOCS.

Mr. Pratt will share his experiences and insights in this unique field of service to the Construction Industry, and he trusts that:  “When things go wrong in the future, it will not be you who will be under his microscope”.
